TextureActives zim class extends a createjs EventDispatcher DESCRIPTION The ZIM TextureActive system allows ZIM to be used within three.js as a CanvasTexture for any material in any mesh. This can be animated and interacted with. For instance, ZIM can be used as interface panels in virtual reality. Any material can be made interactive so games and puzzles could be on walls, or any models. This has world-wide wonderful applications! TextureActives applies the interactivity to TextureActive objects and has an addMesh() method to register three.js meshes with their TextureActive A TextureActives object must be made after the TextureActive objects are made and after a three.js renderer, scene, camera and constrols are made. But it can be made before the meshes that use the TextureActive objects are made. Then either a Three.makePanel() or a textureActives.addMesh() method can be used to add TextureActive objects. NOTE used with three.js WORKINGS The TextureActive object can be passed into a ZIM TextureActives() object to be made interactive. The TextureActives object uses raycasting on the three.js material to provide CreateJS x and y coordinates. The three.js mesh must be passed to the TextureActives addMesh() method. The ZIM CreateJS 1.4.0 and later must be used as there are two settings: createjs.remotePointers and createjs.remoteQueue These prepare CreateJS to receive x and y from three.js and update TextureActive cache and material needsUpdate flag.
